Recipe: Sautéed Swiss Chard With Slivered Almonds

Getting in your greens couldn’t be tastier!

Looking to sneak more greens into your diet? Swiss chard — related to beets and spinach, but similar to mustard greens and collards — provides plenty of vitamin C and K, along with fiber and iron. And our easy Sautéed Swiss Chard With Slivered Almonds recipe makes getting those greens in simple, as well as tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 6 cups chopped swiss chard
  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place the almonds on a baking tray and bake for 6 to 7 minutes, until lightly toasted.
  2. In a sauté pan, heat the oil on medium heat. Add the Swiss chard (stalks and leaves) and salt and continue sautéing until the chard is tender. Add the almonds and serve.
