Recipe: Grilled Turkey Burgers With Parsley and Dill

Time to fire up the grill!

It’s time for some mouth-watering (but healthy!) burgers. They’re loaded with farm-fresh staples like scallions, dill, red onion, parsley and sprouts.

With lean ground turkey and whole-grain breadcrumbs and buns, this burger is packed with protein and intact carbs, too. So long, fast-food drive-thru! We’ve raised the bar on burgers to a whole new level of taste and nutrition.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey (white meat)
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dill
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 small red onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup radish sprouts
  • 4 whole-wheat buns

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, using your hands, gently mix together the turkey, scallions, parsley, dill, egg white, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into four even portions and shape into 1/2-inch thick patties. Place on a plate, cover and refrigerate until ready to grill.
  2. Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the buns first and set aside. Then, grill the burgers until cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  3. Now for the fun part: Build your burgers with buns, sliced red onion, tomatoes and sprouts.
